Say hello to our super shy guy Sirius. At 3 years old, Sirius is a beautiful Black/ Brown Domestic Long Hair with piercing green eyes. When our lovely boy first came to us, he was so shy that he actively tried to avoid any human interaction where possible, whereby he would spend days hidden away in his cat tower outside.

However, over the past few weeks, Sirius has made slow and steady progress, and now he will happily sit inside his pod and watch out his window. Sirius is happy for you to put food out for him, and is now very happy to take treats from you.

At first, both staff and volunteers really couldn’t do any type of handling with him, but now he will give your hand a sniff and will tolerate a little stroke by his ear. Sirius still has a long way to go, and we hope that once he fully builds his confidence, he will begin to realise that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

Sirius is fully litter and cat flap trained.

Sirius, it seems, really needs a home where he can go at his own pace with very little pressure. He would be best suited to a very quiet home (with owners that will respect his boundaries and his need for space). Due to his shyness, Sirius would have to be the only pet and the only cat in the home. He is best suited to a home with cat savvy children aged 14+.
