• Arrived 22nd October Fostered in Buxton

Silk and Satin were surrendered by their owners as their rabbits had bred leaving them with ten rabbits which they also couldn’t afford to vaccinate and neuter. They have now been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

They are both Rex rabbits and have lovely silky soft fur. They are both very confident and friendly rabbits and will let you stroke them but aren’t too keen on being handled.

They love their food and will literally mug you for their nuggets and veg! They are great hay eaters as well and love having a bit of veg each day as a treat. They are fine around children and rabbit friendly dogs and are fairly confident, Silk being the most confident and Satin being a little more reserved.

Satin has an old scar on her nose but this has been vet checked and given the all clear. Because they are Rex rabbits and are prone to sore hocks we are looking for either and indoor home with soft flooring or outdoor housing that can provide soft flooring such as hay, blankets. All in all they are lovely, friendly and confident rabbits that will give you many hours of fun.

Outdoor housing requirement is a minimum 6ft shed/house or 6 x 2 x 2 hutch with a minimum of 60 sq. feet of secure covered floor space, normally a run and it has to be 3ft in height attached securely to the rabbit house, with ideally but not mandatory, the freedom to a secure garden/alternative area for stimulation; exercise, space and enrichment are most important!

Indoor housing requirement is a minimum of 60 square feet of floor space 24/7.
