Tigger has an on going medical condition that requires monitoring
Tigger plants his feet firmly, puffs out his chest and raises his head, like a lion surveying his savannah. He wets his lips, stretches out his jaw and loosens up his shoulders, as if he were a soprano stepping out before an audience. He’s ready for his big performance. He inhales deeply, filling his lungs; he opens his mouth wide, allowing the sun to glimmer against his ivory canines; his muscles are taut, the air is stilled, and…
Silence.
Nothing emerges. Nothing at all. Once more he pushes his head forwards, once more he flaps his tongue, and yet the tranquility remains unbroken. Tigger is voiceless. He has no meow, no roar, no chatter at all. Only as the last trim remnants of air leave his lungs do you hear a rather pitiful squeak whistle its way out.
Perhaps it’s fitting. If ever a sound truly represented someone, then Tigger is truly a squeak. He could no more roar than a crocodile could purr or a shark could chirrup, it’s not who he is. He is the gentlest, tenderest, sweetest, most unassuming of cats, one who gives love freely, receives it gratefully and exudes it always.
Tigger has two great passions in life: fuss and food. Provided he is receiving one or the other, he is happy. Can you provide them? Yes? Then Tigger would like a chat…
