PLEASE NOTE APPLICATIONS FOR BELLA CAN ONLY BE ACCEPTED VIA
Bella is looking for a quiet adult only home without other pets. Bella is super friendly with people she knows and trusts and it is lots of fun! She is worried by new people touching her so this is something that would need to be managed in her new home. Bella also has an ongoing medical condition that can be discussed in more detail with her potential new owners.
Why I'm special
How do their squat bodies contain such personality? How do their little legs support such weight of character? As a breed, Frenchies must permanently feel that they’re about to burst at the seams. Bella is a Frenchie in muscle and bone, heart and soul; she brightens beyond her bounds and takes up more room than her littleness has any right to. Within that piglet-shaped form beats an elephant’s heart – unforgetting and unforgettable – one almost too large for the small frame that bears it.
Bella has the self-confidence which is so characteristic of her breed, she possesses a degree of self-assuredness that one only finds behind a Frenchie’s fishbowl eyes. You can see it in her walk and in the sway of her stride; a cockiness, an insouciance. Most of all, you find it in the clarity of her opinions – she knows what she likes, and likes what she knows. She likes toys and food and friends, she likes the spot on the carpet where the sun shines hardest, she likes the point on her neck where her folding jowls end and where scratches feel best. She likes being doted over and waited upon. When she walks it’s like a monarch surveying their kingdom.
It’s the unfamiliar, however, that she struggles with. Her mind is ordered in such a way so that each thing has its own place and position, there is no room set aside for the novel and the unexpected. She likes her routine and takes solace from knowing how it all works; cause and effect. She has bonded remarkably closely with the people with whom she shares an office – they are hers and she theirs – but she sees little point to widening her social circle further. Unfamiliarity breeds uncertainty and uncertainty means risk. But I know that the closed box of her mind has a slight opening, a glimmering of light, a place for a new family to occupy – I believe Bella is willing to take that leap, that risk, to acquire new affection.
Any potential new owner is aiming to join an exclusive club, Bella’s friendship group, membership of which has a wonderfully wide range of perks: she is friendly and loving and laid-back, she is clean and has excellent house-etiquette. But membership takes effort and time and patience – these perks, after all, don’t come cheap – but any efforts made in forging a friendship with Bella will be repaid tenfold. Twenty-fold. A hundredfold.
If you are interested in Bella – and why wouldn’t you be? – then please get in touch, her life up to this point has been regrettably unorthodox and she is simply looking for stability, consistency and love. Especially love. Bella is a true Frenchie, and a true Frenchie is a true friend.
Thank you for your time.
